About DateDish
Online dating runs on trust, but most apps give people very little to go on. DateDish adds the transparency that's missing, before, during and after a date:
- Selfie verification for everyone. Every member, men and women, verifies with a selfie. To chat, members share a selfie taken within the last 30 days, separate from their profile photos, and visible to the other person.
- ID-verified badges. The Verified badge means a member's ID was checked and matched to their face using facial recognition. DateDish does not store ID or face data; it is used only to validate.
- The Dish. After a date, both people can leave honest feedback. It builds each member's Trust Score, and members decide whether their Dish stays private or is shared.
- Women decide. With date requests, one person proposes the venue, day and time, and the other accepts or suggests a change. Nothing is locked in until both agree.
- Wingman Validation. Friends can vouch that a member is who they say they are.
- Community. Members share dating experiences and get local insight from people nearby.

Will Wiard, Founder & CEO
Will Wiard is the founder and CEO of DateDish. He grew up in Northern Virginia and has a background in visual technology and design.
DateDish was inspired by Will's two younger sisters and their experiences with online dating. He saw how much time and energy went into conversations that led nowhere, how often profiles misrepresented the people behind them, and how many first meetings began with uncertainty instead of confidence. The challenge, he realized, was never meeting people; it was knowing who they truly are. Will founded DateDish to raise the standard for online dating, bringing accountability and transparency to every step so people can invest their time in connections that are genuine.
