So much for dinner on the house

My College Park date promised dinner was free because his brother was the chef. We ordered drinks, mains and dessert. When he asked for the family discount, the server said his brother hadn’t worked there since last semester. Suddenly his banking app wasn’t working either. I paid $145, called a ride and blocked him. Apparently I should’ve checked the family employment status before ordering dessert.
