Was this a date or a background check?
At a Clarendon rooftop, my date pulled out a notebook. I expected quirky conversation. Instead, he asked about foreign relatives, citizenship and overseas bank accounts. Then came a five-page disclosure agreement about photos and location tags, supposedly because of his clearance review. I left money for my drink and headed for the Metro. Still not sure whether I escaped a bad date or failed an interview I never applied for.
