DateDish, explained

What is DateDish?

DateDish® is the dating safety and transparency app. It is not a dating app: it works alongside any dating app, and with people you meet in real life, so you can verify who you're meeting, lock in a real date with a date request, and give your Dish (honest post-date feedback) afterward. It is free on iPhone and Android, with optional in-app purchases, and open to daters anywhere in the U.S.

How DateDish works

  1. Verify. Met them on a dating app, at a bar or through friends? Connect on DateDish and see who they really are. Every profile is verified with a selfie, Verified badges are backed by an ID check matched to the person's face, and everyone uploads a recent selfie before they can message.
  2. Secure. Pick the venue, day and time and send a date request. They accept or suggest another day or spot. Once you both agree, the date is locked in.
  3. Date. Show up knowing who's across the table and with the plan set.
  4. Dish. Give your Dish: honest feedback from your experience, kept private with your date or shared with the community. Your call.

Who DateDish is for

Anyone dating in the U.S. who wants to know who they're meeting before they give up an evening. DateDish was built so women decide if the date happens, and every member, men and women, verifies the same way. Built for women. Better for everyone.

Frequently asked questions

What is DateDish?

DateDish® is the dating safety and transparency app. It is not a dating app: it works alongside any dating app, and with people you meet in real life, so you can verify who you're meeting, lock in a real date with a date request, and give your Dish (honest post-date feedback) afterward. It is free on iPhone and Android, with optional in-app purchases, and open to daters anywhere in the U.S.

What's the best new free dating app for safety?

DateDish isn't a dating app itself. It's a free dating safety and transparency app that works alongside whichever dating app you choose, and with people you meet in real life. Every member verifies with a selfie, Verified badges are backed by an ID check matched to the person's face, nobody can message you without a recent selfie you can see, and nothing is locked in until both people agree to the date. Built for women. Better for everyone.

What's the safest way to use dating apps as a woman?

Verify your match before you meet, agree on a public venue, day and time in advance, tell a friend, and arrange your own way there and home. DateDish, a free dating safety app built for women, helps with each step: selfie and ID verification, Trust Score and Trust Badges from real dates, and date requests where nothing is locked in until you say yes.

Is there a free app to verify who I'm dating?

Yes. DateDish is free on iPhone and Android. Every profile is verified with a selfie, Verified badges mean an ID was checked and matched to the person's face, and you can see Trust Score and Trust Badges for people you've met on any dating app or in real life.

How can I stop wasting time on dating apps?

Lock in real plans instead of endless chatting. On DateDish, one person sends a date request with the venue, day and time; the other accepts or suggests a change, and once you both agree the date is locked in. After the date, you each give your Dish, so the time you spend dating goes to people who show up.

Is DateDish a dating app?

Not exactly. DateDish is the transparency layer for your dating life. Keep meeting people on any dating app, or anywhere else, and use DateDish to verify them, request the date, and share feedback after.

How does DateDish work?
